Shipping Policy
OVERVIEW
This policy applies to all purchases from Boucher & Co Australia. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Packaging standards
All items are packed to gallery standard. Small items are packed in first class protective packaging. Furniture and oversize pieces are crated or boxed with bespoke International standard packaging made by REBUL PACKAGAGING AUSTRALIA. International crates comply with ISPM 15 requirements for wood packaging.
Dispatch and lead times
Lead times for made to order pieces are shown on the product page or your quotation. Shipping time starts after final inspection and payment clearance. We will share tracking details once your order leaves the workshop.
Australia, items up to 10 kg
Orders that weigh ten kilograms or less ship free anywhere in Australia. We use tracked parcel services with signature on delivery unless you instruct us otherwise.
Australia, items over 10 kg and all furniture
Tables, consoles and any item over ten kilograms require a bespoke packing and freight quotation. Boucher & Co arranges this for you. We use our own network of national logistics partners to protect quality and schedule control. White glove delivery, placement and debris removal are available in most metropolitan areas. These are extra cost services, that will be quoted and itemised on your quotation if you require them.
International shipping
Boucher & Co arranges packing, shipping and freight forwarding through our established international partners. Our default term is Delivered at Place, which means duties, taxes and import fees are payable by the receiver on arrival. If you prefer all charges prepaid we can quote Delivered Duty Paid in eligible countries.
Insurance
For larger or high value items we will obtain transit insurance quotations for you and include them with the freight options. Insurance is recommended for any shipment that is crated or exceeds ten kilograms. If insurance is declined, recovery is limited to the carrier’s standard liability.
Delivery, access and redelivery
Please tell us about stairs, lifts, narrow doorways or access limits before we quote and book delivery. If a carrier cannot deliver because of access issues, missed appointments or an incorrect address, redelivery, storage or return to sender charges will apply.
Authority to leave is not available
For high value items we require signature on delivery.
Risk and title
Title to the goods passes on full payment. Risk passes on delivery to you or your nominated agent. If you instruct us to release goods to your own carrier, risk passes at collection.
Damage in transit
Please inspect all items on delivery. If there is visible damage, note it with the driver and photograph the packaging and the item. Notify us in writing within 48 hours of delivery, include photos and your order number, and keep all packaging until we advise next steps. This helps us lodge a timely claim with the insurer or carrier.
Remote and special locations
Deliveries to remote areas, islands, mine or construction sites or secure premises may require additional time and charges. We will confirm options before you commit.
PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers
We cannot deliver furniture or oversize items to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers. Please provide a street address.
Split shipments
We may ship items separately to meet deadlines or to protect fragile pieces. You will receive tracking for each parcel or crate.
