THE LONDON BAR CABINET

This piece is a celebration of elegance, craftsmanship, and just a touch of theatrical flair.  A contemporary piece with a strong Art Deco influence, dressed in a meticulously slip-matched coat of Macassar Ebony. The timber itself is dark and moody, with flickers of caramel and deep chocolate dancing across its grain. The surface is inlaid with delicate lines of black Ebony, beautiful sections of it filled with hand-dyed blue black shagreen, trimmed with cool nickel silver, all working in harmony to elevate the cabinet’s presence.

  • Whilst its form is linear and grounded. The lines are softened by a gentle radius curve at the left-hand end, falling gracefully to the floor. The right-hand end wraps back in a bold 180-degree arc, an open D shape lined with blue black shagreen and discreetly lit from within. Before it even opens, this piece has a wonderful striking presence.

Open the centre doors and you’ll find twin banks of Burr Ash drawers, each topped with solid black Ebony and housing bespoke leather-lined compartments, custom-fitted for specific glassware. Everything fits perfectly.

But the magic really begins at the left-hand end of the top. A hidden, motorised lid silently retracts into the body of the cabinet. From within, up rises the heart of the bar. A motorised lift revealing a hidden serving cabinet, holding bottles of every shape and size. Nestled within are three stainless steel, double-insulated ice buckets. Two for champagne, one for ice.

It’s a statement piece, no doubt. A bar cabinet that feels more like a performance. Technically demanding to build, but completely worth the effort. This is the kind of piece that will be admired, enjoyed, and passed down through generations. Something to be proud of. Always.
