Leonardo da Vinci held that the skill of the master is to make the extremely complex, appear simple. We work to do just that whilst creating pieces that are so well made that they can be maintained and repaired for centuries to come. We believe bringing these two ideals together is the ultimate in sophisticated luxury.

The spiral pattern has been created by carefully cutting twenty-four consecutive leaves of Macassar Ebony. These are opened out like a fan to create what is known as a spiral slip match. The resulting grain movement translates to an impressive and rarely seen spiralling pattern.

The timber work is protected with a very durable clear satin lacquer. Underneath the tray is a protective leather pad with hand skived and folded edges.

Signed and engraved with the registered number.

“Our family enjoys entertaining. Presenting our guests with delicious G&Ts becomes an effortless artform with these magnificent trays. Inspired by an amazing bespoke console table we created for one of our favourite couples, it’s disarming simplicity and extraordinarily fine detail takes a lifetime of skill and practise to achieve. It makes my heart sing every time I look at it.” David Boucher

The Shagreen we use in our products is tanned and dyed using natural pigment. It’s environmentally friendly and created from commercially discarded skins of farmed stingray that are neither endangered nor threatened and are originally harvested as a food source. Materials used in our products are not included in the list of C.I.T.E.S (Convention International Trade of Endangered Species of Flora and Fauna).
